Location: Remote (USA)

Salary: $134,000 – $184,000

What you will do

  • Advise internal stakeholders on privacy concerns relating to products and the implementation of AI technologies.
  • Lead AI use case reviews for generative and agentic AI and conduct legal assessments for AI-powered tools.
  • Draft and evolve AI governance documentation, including the Company’s Responsible AI Policy.
  • Ensure corporate adherence to US state and federal privacy laws, specifically CCPA and HIPAA.
  • Collaborate with commercial counsel on privacy provisions in commercial agreements and Business Associate Agreements (BAAs).
  • Investigate, document, and report privacy incidents and breaches in accordance with law and corporate strategy.

Requirements

  • Law degree from a top-tier law school and active membership in a state bar.
  • 3 to 5 years of legal experience in-house or at a law firm.
  • Experience analyzing and advising on healthcare privacy laws (federal and state).
  • Must be based in the USA.
  • Ability to balance technical AI legal advice with operational process management.

Nice to have

  • Professional certifications such as IAPP AIGP or CIPP/US.
  • Experience with specific US state AI regulations (e.g., California, Colorado, Texas, New York).
  • Previous experience working in-house with a technology company or healthcare organization.
