Location: Tokyo, Japan (Hybrid: 3 days office, 2 days WFH)

What you will do

  • Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team of 8 Sales Engineers in Japan.
  • Drive the overarching strategy for technical sales support and align resources with high-priority business opportunities.
  • Orchestrate the national strategy for technical competence development through Axis Academy and technical collateral.
  • Act as the primary technical liaison between Japan sales organization and Global/APAC technical leadership.
  • Oversee the integrity of system designs, PoCs, and the operation of Japan Solution Labs.
  • Establish standards for solution testing to ensure maximum reliability and performance.

Requirements

  • Over 10 years of experience in sales within the IT industry.
  • Proven experience in mentoring and upskilling Pre-Sales or Sales Engineering teams.
  • Japanese: Native level or JLPT N1 certification required.
  • English: TOEIC score of 730 or above preferred for global team communication.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education.
  • Strong ability to communicate complex technical value propositions to non-technical stakeholders.
