What you will do

• Lead negotiations for commercial agreements, including MSAs, O&M Agreements, and SREC Purchase and Sale Agreements.
• Build and standardize contracting infrastructure, including templates, playbooks, and approval workflows.
• Design internal deal processes and checklists to reduce dependency on outside counsel.
• Advise the executive team and Board on corporate governance, fiduciary duties, and subsidiary management.
• Support M&A, joint ventures, and strategic investments, including due diligence and risk allocation.
• Integrate legal advice into operational processes in collaboration with finance and business teams.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active bar membership.
• 7–12+ years of experience in law firms and in-house legal roles.
• Significant experience in renewable energy, solar project finance, or infrastructure deals.
• Knowledge of U.S. Federal and State Regulatory Compliance.
• Must be located within the US intercontinental states.

Nice to have

• Experience leveraging AI to improve legal processes and efficiency.
• Experience with FERC and NERC regulatory compliance.
