TL;DR

Manager, Security Engineering (AWS): Leading a team of security engineers to protect the platform and donors with an accent on strategic roadmapping and cross-functional partnerships. Focus on maturing the security program, managing vulnerability risks, and embedding security into the SDLC.

What you will do

  • Manage and mentor a team of security engineers through 1:1s, career development planning, and performance reviews.
  • Define and prioritize quarterly and annual security initiatives aligned with frameworks like NIST CSF, CIS Controls, or SOC 2.
  • Partner with Platform, SRE, Legal, and IT teams to embed security into the SDLC and incident response processes.
  • Drive product and cloud security posture across AWS infrastructure, ensuring secure architecture and continuous monitoring.
  • Oversee vulnerability management including SAST, DAST, SCA, and bug bounty programs.
  • Manage the security budget, justify tooling spend, and coordinate headcount requests.

Requirements

  • 5–7 years of experience managing a team of security engineers or technical ICs.
  • Must be based in the US (no visa sponsorship available).
  • Deep familiarity with AWS cloud security, Application Security (web apps and authentication), EDR, and device management.
  • Experience overseeing AppSec tooling and building/tuning detections in a SIEM.
  • Track record of navigating competing priorities across engineering, SRE, platform, and legal organizations.
  • Experience leading AI-forward teams and leveraging AI tooling to increase execution speed and quality.
