What you will do

• Lead and mentor a team of 4-5 senior and staff-level engineers, providing technical guidance and career development.
• Spearhead the migration and standardization of identity services onto a centralized platform.
• Harden the identity stack to reduce incident frequency and improve system observability.
• Perform architectural and code reviews for identity flows, platform configurations, and token validation.
• Partner with cross-functional engineering teams to improve API documentation and onboarding experiences.
• Collaborate with security and compliance teams to ensure architecture supports regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with deep expertise in identity, authentication, or authorization systems.
• 3+ years of engineering management experience leading engineers and running effective 1:1s.
• Current hands-on technical skills to read code and challenge architectural decisions.
• Proven success in system consolidation and migrating legacy auth implementations to standardized platforms.
• Strong understanding of modern identity protocols (federation, token-based architectures).
• Must be authorized to work in the US.

Nice to have

• Experience with multi-tenant identity concerns in a SaaS environment.
• Familiarity with fraud prevention, such as account takeover and credential stuffing mitigation.
• Background in broader platform or application security and secure SDLC.
• Experience creating developer-facing documentation, SDKs, or integration guides.
