Engineering Manager (Healthtech)

What you will do

• Stand up and lead a new cross-functional engineering pod to grow hirify.global’s business in Canada.
• Define the team’s mission, ownership boundaries, roadmap, and execution model.
• Partner with Product, Design, Data, Finance, Operations, and commercial stakeholders to translate Canada strategy into delivery plans.
• Lead delivery of features and workflows that increase Canadian revenue, reduce US-Canada product gaps, and adapt high-value capabilities.
• Guide technical decisions on shared systems, business logic, workflows, and processes for scalability and alignment.
• Build engineering practices around ownership, planning, quality, instrumentation, and execution; hire, coach, and develop the team.
• Use business outcomes, customer friction, and operations to shape priorities and measure impact.

Requirements

• Experience leading software engineers in product engineering, including setting expectations, feedback, growth support, and performance management.
• Strong technical judgment to contribute to architecture, system design, and delivery planning.
• Track record partnering with Product, Design, Data, and business stakeholders.
• Experience launching, adapting, or scaling products in new markets or regions.
• Comfort in ambiguous environments, creating structure, balancing speed with reliability.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with localization, market expansion, or regional rollout of platform capabilities.
• Familiarity with experimentation, instrumentation, and outcome-based development.
• Experience in healthcare, health tech, or trust-sensitive domains.
