What you will do

• Accountable for engineering delivery in obesity product area, ensuring high-quality, reliable and scalable systems supporting business and clinical objectives.
• Lead obesity engineering team, including hiring, coaching, developing engineers and setting performance expectations.
• Align engineering with product and clinical priorities, maintain delivery pace, system reliability and manage technical debt.
• Partner with Product, Design and Clinical to shape feasible, scalable solutions aligned with business goals.
• Ensure systems meet regulatory requirements like MHRA, CQC, GDPR and DCB0129.
• Contribute to company-wide engineering standards and drive AI tools for productivity.
• Build product engineering culture focused on patient problems and end-to-end ownership.

Requirements

• UK-based for remote work.
• Proven engineering leadership in product-led, high-growth environments delivering business outcomes.
• Technical depth in core domain for architectural and delivery decisions.
• Experience in regulated environments understanding compliance impacts.
• Track record hiring and developing product-aware engineers.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration with Product, Clinical, Design and Commercial.
• Commercial awareness linking engineering to patient outcomes and revenue.
• Clear communication representing engineering at senior levels.

Nice to have

• Experience in digital health, DCB0129, clinical safety or MHRA/CQC.
• Building products for chronic disease management like GLP-1 or metabolic health.
• Scaling teams through product complexity or patient volume growth.
