What you will do

• Lead incremental refactoring of existing automation systems, designing new standards for predictability and testability.
• Deep dive into technical and business logic of core insurance product, pairing with engineers on implementation.
• Evolve systems to handle external interface changes gracefully and scale across new categories with minimal intervention.
• Shift to AI-first approach for next-generation internal tools supporting growth from 5M to 50M users.
• Report directly to CTO, pitch and build ideas quickly with high ownership.

Requirements

• Player coach with founder or lead architect experience at early-stage startup, hands-on technical work (80% time).
• Obsessed with success rates, expert in hunting edge cases in complex business logic.
• Systems thinker with high bar for async job design, decoupling, state management, and failure retry logic.
• Experience with TypeScript (Nest.js), GraphQL, AWS (ECS/EKS, Lambda).

• Domain knowledge in insurance or similar complex industries.
