TL;DR

Director of Sales (Life Sciences/SaaS): Leading and developing a team of mid-market Account Executives to drive growth in Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, and CRO sectors with an accent on MEDDIC-based deal discipline and scaling sales talent. Focus on optimizing the go-to-market motion, refining the Ideal Customer Profile (ICP), and expanding the AI workbench footprint in the life sciences ecosystem.

Location: Hybrid in San Francisco, CA (In-office Tues/Wed/Thurs, Remote Mon/Fri)

Salary: $210,000 - $230,000 base, OTE $420,000 - $460,000 + equity

What you will do

  • Lead, coach, and grow a team of 4-6 mid-market Account Executives in the Biotech, Pharma, and CRO verticals.
  • Implement and reinforce a MEDDIC-based selling framework and conduct structured deal reviews.
  • Own forecast accuracy and pipeline health for the mid-market segment using CRM data.
  • Partner with Marketing and Product to define and sharpen the Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) and GTM strategy.
  • Act as an executive sponsor on strategic deals to model best-in-class discovery and value-based selling.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of recruiting, hiring, and onboarding next-generation sales talent.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of overall B2B SaaS sales experience.
  • 5+ years in sales management roles of increasing responsibility.
  • Proven background selling SaaS into the Life Sciences vertical (Biotech, Pharma, or CRO) is required.
  • Deep expertise in MEDDIC sales methodology as an active coaching tool.
  • Demonstrated track record of consistent quota attainment and team success.
  • Ability to travel 60-70% of the time within the territory.
