Manager, Sales Development (AI): Building and scaling a high-performing SDR team to fuel the pipeline engine for an AI-powered data intelligence platform with an accent on signal-driven, intelligent prospecting. Focus on redesigning the SDR motion through an AI-first lens and coaching reps to exceed pipeline targets.
Location: Hybrid (Redwood City, CA). Must be local; no relocation provided.
Salary: $135,000 - $220,000 (OTE)

What you will do
- Act as a player-coach by running outbound sequences and prospecting alongside the team to set the performance standard.
- Recruit, onboard, and develop a team of SDRs to consistently exceed qualified pipeline targets.
- Design and execute outbound and inbound prospecting strategies aligned with ICP, messaging, and account prioritization.
- Redesign the SDR motion using AI tools for account research, personalized outreach, and pipeline intelligence.
- Implement rigorous coaching through regular 1:1s, call reviews, and data-driven performance reporting.
- Collaborate with Revenue Operations and Marketing on lead routing, ABM execution, and territory alignment.
Requirements
- 4–8 years of experience in B2B SaaS sales development or inside sales.
- At least 2 years of experience managing an SDR/BDR team, ideally in a startup or high-growth environment.
- Must be based locally in Redwood City, CA (Hybrid: onsite Tuesday & Thursday).
- Deep proficiency with modern prospecting tools including Salesforce, Outreach/Salesloft, 6sense, and ZoomInfo.
- Proven track record of building and scaling a pipeline engine from scratch.
- Advanced expertise in utilizing AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Clay) to optimize prospecting workflows.
Nice to have
- Experience building an SDR function at a Series B–D stage company.
- Background selling data, AI, or analytics products to enterprise buyers.
- Proven track record of promoting SDRs into successful Account Executive roles.
- Experience with consumption-based or usage-based go-to-market models.
