Site Lead (Wind Energy)

TL;DR

Site Lead (Wind Energy): Managing the installation and maintenance of wind turbines and related equipment with an accent on technical leadership, safety compliance, and root cause analysis. Focus on training service technicians, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical failures, and ensuring optimal turbine performance.

Location: Grosvenor, Nova Scotia. Must be able to work in Canada without company sponsorship.

Salary: $54 - $58 CAD/USD hourly

What you will do

• Lead and train service technicians in component assembly, commissioning, testing, and maintenance of wind turbine generators.
• Oversee the troubleshooting, calibration, and repair of low to medium voltage electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic components.
• Conduct safety analyses of potential electrical and mechanical hazards and enforce strict safety gear protocols.
• Perform root cause analyses to accurately determine the reasons for equipment failures.
• Manage tool inventory, consumables, and spare parts at the wind farm site.
• Schedule and track the progress of preventative maintenance to meet established guidelines.

Requirements

• Associate degree or technical school certificate, or 4+ years of directly related work experience.
• 5 years of directly related professional experience.
• Must be authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorship.
• Fluent English proficiency to effectively communicate safety and job-related information.
• Possession of a full, valid driver's license and ability to travel to the US for training.
• Physical ability to climb ladders up to 100 meters and lift up to 23kg.

• Experience with SAP, J.D. Edwards, or Maximo systems.
