Salary: $5,385.00 - $6,169.00 CAD Monthly

What you will do

• Install, repair, and maintain technical electrical distribution systems, motor control centers, and switchgear.
• Manage and test campus fire systems and chemical fire suppression systems in accordance with CAN/ULC and NFPA standards.
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and plan large-scale electrical projects, including material listing.
• Respond to emergency electrical and fire system incidents to ensure continuous campus operation.
• Maintain electrical inventory and recommend equipment and systems upgrades.
• Coordinate with external contractors for complex projects and maintain administrative log books and records.

Requirements

• Must be located in or authorized to work in Kelowna, BC, Canada
• Completion of trades training to journeyman status.
• Over six (6) years of progressive related experience.
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License.
• Knowledge of the National Electrical Code, BC Fire Code, and BC Building Code.
• Ability to perform strenuous physical work, including lifting 50 lbs and working in confined areas or extreme climates.

Nice to have

• Ability to resolve instrument, VFD, and control circuit technical issues.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
• Basic computer skills in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
