TL;DR

IT Support Engineer (Medtech): Delivering on-site Level I & II technology support for the San Francisco office with an accent on hardware/software troubleshooting, A/V operations, and SaaS administration. Focus on managing local IT infrastructure, optimizing service queue SLAs, and integrating AI tooling into workflows.

Location: Onsite in San Francisco, CA (must be based in the metro area or be able to relocate independently within 90 days)

Salary: $47.00 - $50.87 per hour

What you will do

  • Provide Level I & II on-site support for hardware, software, and SaaS issues, escalating complex cases to the NYC team.
  • Own all A/V setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting for conference rooms and hybrid Zoom meetings.
  • Act as the primary IT liaison with building management and manage local vendor relationships for infrastructure and repairs.
  • Handle IAM tasks including employee onboarding/offboarding and device management using Okta and JAMF.
  • Maintain an accurate hardware asset inventory and author SOPs/knowledge base articles.
  • Identify recurring issues and propose process improvements to reduce ticket volume.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in an IT support or IT operations role.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for macOS and iOS.
  • Hands-on experience with JAMF (or comparable MDM) and Google Workspace Admin.
  • Proficiency with Okta, Slack, Zoom, and Asana.
  • Knowledge of AI tooling (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) and workflow orchestration (n8n, Zapier, Workato).
  • Must be based in the San Francisco metro area or able to relocate independently within 90 days.

Nice to have

  • Experience acting as the sole IT point of contact for an office or site.
  • Prior exposure to vendor management or building/facilities coordination.
  • Familiarity with ITIL frameworks or formal service management practices.
  • Basic knowledge of scripting languages.
