Location: Oakville, Ontario, Canada (Hybrid)

Salary: $71,800 - $83,100 CAD

What you will do

  • Design adaptive, AI-enhanced learning architectures for global onboarding and leadership development programs.
  • Apply a UX mindset to map learner journeys, identify friction points, and iterate experiences based on real usage data.
  • Develop modular, composable content structures and leverage AI tools to personalize content delivery at scale.
  • Partner with People Operations, HRBPs, and SMEs to translate learning needs into business solutions.
  • Establish success metrics focusing on time-to-productivity, knowledge retention, and behavioral change.
  • Build frameworks and playbooks to help the People Ops team adopt AI-enhanced design methods.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in instructional design, learning experience design, or program development within HR/L&D.
  • Strong foundation in adult learning principles, competency-based development, and experience design.
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools (e.g., Gemini, Codex, Sonnet, Claude) to build or enhance learning programs.
  • Proven ability to apply UX thinking, including journey mapping and usability testing, to educational content.
  • Experience designing for global, multicultural audiences with an understanding of regional compliance.
  • Degree in Instructional Design, Learning Sciences, UX Design, HR, or a related field.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Absorb LMS or similar learning management systems.
  • Background in service design or human-centered design.
  • Knowledge of learning analytics frameworks to connect data to business outcomes.
