TL;DR

Process Design Engineer (Chemical/Nuclear Engineering): Performing engineering assignments of intermediate complexity for enterprise organizations with an accent on technical specifications, design criteria, and engineering calculations. Focus on executing EPC projects, developing P&IDs, and performing HazOp/PHA analyses.

Location: On-site only. U.S. Citizenship required.

What you will do

  • Develop and review technical specifications and design criteria for systems of intermediate complexity.
  • Perform engineering analyses and calculations to specify materials, equipment, and systems.
  • Coordinate technical issues across disciplines, project management, vendors, and clients.
  • Provide technical support for procurement and subcontracting, including technical bid evaluations and vendor submittal reviews.
  • Support construction administration by responding to RFIs and managing field changes.
  • Establish, control, and report on material key quantities and forecasts.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical or Nuclear Engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of work-related experience.
  • Experience providing Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) services on commercial or industrial projects.
  • Proficiency in executing EPC projects using 3D modeling and 2D CADD automation tools.
  • Knowledge of applicable federal (including DOE), state, and local codes and standards.

Nice to have

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Experience with nuclear facilities under ASME NQA-1 requirements.
  • Practical field experience.
  • Experience with the U.S. Department of Energy or other U.S. Federal Government Agencies.
  • Proficiency in developing Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and utilizing HazOp Methodology.
