TL;DR

Location: Hybrid in Vancouver, BC. Must be based in British Columbia and eligible to work in Canada

Salary: $65,000 – $75,000 per year

hirify.global is a world-class VFX studio based in Vancouver, specializing in high-end visual effects for feature films and television since 1995.

What you will do

  • Process semi-monthly payroll for over 300 employees using Dayforce and ShotGrid.
  • Monitor and manage statutory remittances and reporting, including EI, CPP, taxation, and Worksafe.
  • Reconcile overtime records and process employee expense reimbursements and deductions.
  • Prepare and process T4s, ROEs, and other necessary government returns.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of taxable benefits and prepare working papers for audits.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to payroll system procedures and manuals.

Requirements

  • Based in British Columbia and eligible to work in Canada.
  • Minimum 3 years of full-cycle payroll and benefits administration experience.
  • Strong understanding of Canadian Payroll Legislation.
  • Proficiency in Excel, specifically VLook-up and Pivot tables.
  • Experience with payroll software (Dayforce experience is a strong asset).

Nice to have

  • Experience working within the visual effects (VFX) industry.
  • Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification (completed or in progress).
