Senior Software Engineer (Go/IAM): Designing and operating identity services powering authentication and authorization across with an accent on scalability, security, and low latency. Focus on extending OIDC/SAML/SCIM integrations and evolving the authorization model using ReBAC.
Location: Remote (Must be based in Canada or the United States)

What you will do
- Design, build, and operate Go services for authentication, authorization, and identity lifecycle management.
- Extend OIDC, SSO, SAML, and SCIM integrations and evolve the authorization model using ReBAC.
- Improve observability, performance, and security of identity services on the critical request path.
- Design for multi-region operation, graceful degradation, and safe rollouts of critical auth flows.
- Lead end-to-end projects, contribute to technical design, and mentor teammates in identity and security.
- Participate in a paid on-call rotation to ensure high system reliability and respond to production incidents.
Requirements
- 6+ years of backend software engineering experience building production services.
- Strong proficiency in Go and solid working knowledge of PostgreSQL (schema design, query performance).
- Experience with gRPC, event-driven systems using Kafka, and operating on AWS.
- Deep understanding of OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, JWT, and session management.
- Experience with authorization models, specifically RBAC and ReBAC.
- Must be based in Canada or the United States.
Nice to have
- Production experience with SCIM provisioning and enterprise SSO integrations.
- Hands-on experience with Auth0 or similar identity platforms.
- Experience operating multi-region services and understanding the associated tradeoffs.
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, or GDPR.
