What you will do
- Develop optical test beds and execute test plans for coherent pluggable modules under various system conditions.
- Develop test code to automate test beds and streamline measurement processes.
- Debug and analyze test results to propose technical improvements to internal teams.
- Author detailed test reports and develop database solutions for storing results.
Requirements
- PhD or Master's degree in optical communications or a related optics field.
- 0-2 years of industry experience.
- Familiarity with optical fiber coherent communication systems.
- Hands-on experience with optical lab equipment (OSAs, VOAs, EDFAs, power meters) and OSNR measurements.
- Knowledge of fiber impairments including CD, PMD, PDL, SPM, and XPM.
- Ability to automate measurements using software, preferably Python.
