TL;DR

Commercial Counsel (Data Privacy): Drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and managing legal agreements including SaaS contracts, professional services agreements, partner agreements, and NDAs with an accent on data privacy compliance in Data Processing Agreements. Focus on triaging high-volume workflows, advising revenue teams on risks, and accelerating deal closures while supporting legal process improvements.

Location: Remote - USA. Must have the legal right to work in the US without visa sponsorship.

US Base Pay Range $207,000 — $285,000 USD

What you will do

  • Partner with revenue teams to summarize legal risks and concepts in business terms.
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a wide range of legal agreements to accelerate contract velocity.
  • Understand customer and internal client perspectives to solve problems collaboratively.
  • Triage heavy workflows, prioritize with stakeholders, and deliver efficiently.
  • Improve agreement templates and legal processes using CPQ and CLM platforms.
  • Ensure agreements comply with company policies and risk tolerance.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of in-house experience required, technology company experience preferred (law firm experience with in-house also considered).
  • Knowledge of data privacy required, experienced in handling data privacy in Data Processing Agreements.
  • Admitted to the bar and in good standing in at least one U.S. state.
  • Business-friendly style supporting business growth.
  • Ability to structure, draft, and negotiate high-volume contracts including SaaS, PSAs, partner agreements, and NDAs.
  • Strong communication skills and collaborative approach.
  • Experience with Salesforce, Slack, DocuSign, and contract lifecycle management systems.
