Jira Administrator (Atlassian/SaaS): Owning the configuration, integrations, and governance of the Atlassian Teamwork collection to enable organizational planning and delivery with an accent on workflow optimization and cross-functional alignment. Focus on scaling Jira Cloud instances, automating processes via REST API, and building advanced data-driven reporting for leadership.
Location: Hybrid in Austin, TX (2–3 days in office). Candidates must have current, unrestricted authorization to work in the US; no immigration sponsorship is provided.

What you will do
- Configure and optimize Jira projects, boards, workflows, screens, and permission schemes.
- Manage user access, roles, and license allocation across the instance.
- Build and maintain dashboards, filters, and reports for stakeholders and leadership.
- Manage integrations with third-party tools (e.g., ZenDesk, AI tooling) and develop automation rules/scripts.
- Drive adoption and governance to ensure security and compliance requirements are met.
- Manage instance health, upgrades, migrations, and the plugin ecosystem.
Requirements
- Hands-on Jira Cloud administration experience at scale.
- Proficiency in JQL, scripting, and Jira REST API for advanced queries and automation.
- Experience with the Atlassian ecosystem (Confluence, Jira Service Management, Loom).
- Knowledge of IT security, user governance, and SaaS compliance practices.
- Experience integrating Jira with developer tools like GitLab and GitHub.
- Unrestricted authorization to work in the USA.
Nice to have
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience with Data Center/Server management and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Linux).
- Experience designing service desks and ticketing flows in JSM.
