Freelance Technical Interviewer (Engineering): Assess candidates’ problem-solving depth, communication clarity, and overall engineering quality for senior- and lead-level roles in AI-driven startups building modern cloud-based products with an accent on evaluating trade-offs, technical reasoning, and holistic engineering maturity. Focus on conducting structured technical and behavioral interviews, using standardized rubrics and live coding challenges, and providing detailed written feedback.

Location: Latin America (Only candidates based in LATAM will be considered)

What you will do

• Conduct structured technical and behavioral interviews for senior- and lead-level engineers (Full Stack, Backend, Frontend, or Data).
• Assess alignment with hirify.global’s values and client expectations.
• Evaluate technical proficiency, problem-solving approach, and communication clarity.
• Use standardized guides, rubrics, and live coding challenges for consistent evaluations.
• Document insights and provide written feedback to the Talent Acquisition team.
• Collaborate with the team to refine rubrics and report to Engineering Manager for continuous improvements.

Requirements

• Senior or Lead Engineer with strong hands-on product development experience.
• Passion for mentoring, evaluating, and supporting other engineers.
• Fluent in English (written and verbal, as interviews and feedback will be fully in English).
• Flexibility/availability for 1–1.5-hour interviews on weekdays within LATAM or US Eastern working hours.
• Technical background in JavaScript, TypeScript, Python (occasionally Go), React, Next.js, Node.js, NestJS, FastAPI, PostgreSQL, Redis, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of REST/GraphQL APIs, microservices, event-driven systems, and system design.

Nice to have

• Experience interviewing, hiring, or mentoring engineers.
• Background in teaching, bootcamps, or technical mentorship.
• Experience working in early-stage or high-growth startups.
