TL;DR

Business Development Lead (New Verticals): Own go-to-market motion for 2-3 specific industry verticals with an accent on building domain expertise, developing senior-level relationships, and closing large complex deals. Focus on proactively sourcing pipeline from first principles, refining vertical positioning and messaging, and turning early wins into repeatable playbooks.

Location: United States Remote

Salary: $120K – $160K base ($180K – $240K OTE) + equity

What you will do

  • Own GTM motion for 2-3 industry verticals, partnering with strategy and ops for research and intel.
  • Build deep expertise in assigned industries, including buyers, use cases, and competition.
  • Develop senior relationships with key accounts, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Source, develop, and close large complex deals with longer sales cycles, focusing on high-impact programs.
  • Represent at industry events and collaborate with Strategy, PMM, and Marketing on positioning.
  • Provide field feedback to inform vertical expansion and create repeatable playbooks.

Requirements

  • 6–10 years B2B sales experience with meaningful business development time.
  • Experience selling into trust-based industries.
  • Comfort in ambiguity, building pipeline from first principles.
  • Strong executive presence for senior buyer conversations.
  • Patience to invest ahead of revenue, high ownership mentality.
  • Clear concise written communication; builder mindset.
