Head of Political (Electoral Strategy): Drive 's electoral strategy and targeting to direct grassroots resources to competitive Democratic races with an accent on race prioritization, partnerships with campaigns and parties, and impact communication. Location: Hybrid in Washington, D.C. - remote role requiring regular in-person meetings and events in the D.C. area, plus some travel; must be eligible to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship)
Salary: $168,000 - $185,000 / year

What you will do
- Develop electoral strategy, prioritize target races, and create activity plans at national, state, and local levels.
- Engage with campaigns, parties, and stakeholders to negotiate partnerships and communicate grassroots impact.
- Lead the political team, integrate strategy across communications, fundraising, and organizing.
- Provide political insights, brief internal teams, and represent the organization externally.
- Support Vote Forward's outreach to elected officials periodically.
Requirements
- Located in Washington, D.C. with ability to attend regular in-person meetings/events in the area and some travel
- Eligible to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship
- 8+ years in electoral politics with Democratic network, coalition-building, and relationship management experience.
- Commitment to grassroots organizing and people-powered programs.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional leadership skills.
- Experience managing teams in a startup-like environment.
