What you will do

• Build and operate CDC streaming platform (Debezium, Kafka, Flink) for near-real-time data products
• Own streaming infrastructure using Terraform and Atmos IaC, including multi-region deployments
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for the platform
• Define and enforce pipeline reliability standards with alerting, runbooks, and load testing
• Instrument end-to-end observability and build self-service tooling for CDC sources
• Collaborate with teams to expand CDC footprint and support new streaming use cases

Requirements

• 4+ years building and operating production event streaming pipelines in cloud data environments
• Strong Kafka knowledge: topics, consumer groups, retention, schema management, partitioning
• Experience with CDC tooling like Debezium or DMS
• Hands-on with Apache Flink
• Terraform or Atmos IaC skills for multi-account/region AWS management
• Proficiency in Python or Java for Flink and tooling
• CI/CD pipeline experience and reliability engineering for distributed systems

Nice to have

• Schema management in CDC context
• OpenSearch familiarity
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks like FedRAMP, SOC2, GDPR
