What you will do

• Design and maintain backend services supporting reporting, analytics, and data export features.
• Collaborate with product and data teams to deliver AI-powered insights and data-driven product enhancements.
• Develop robust APIs for integration with BI tools like Looker, Tableau, and Power BI.
• Apply advanced data modeling and transformation techniques to support dimensional analytics.
• Ensure high standards for data quality, governance, privacy, and compliance.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical architecture and design planning.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend software engineering experience in enterprise environments.
• Expertise in Systems Design for complex, distributed systems at scale.
• Proficiency in server-side languages such as Python, PHP, or Go.
• Strong understanding of relational and NoSQL databases, including schema design and performance tuning.
• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure) and cloud-based data warehousing.
• Must be based in or able to commute to the Toronto office for hybrid work.

Nice to have

• Experience integrating applications with AI/ML systems.
• Familiarity with streaming data technologies like Kafka or Pub/Sub.
