TL;DR
Strategic Account Manager (Alternative Data): Own and grow high-value relationships across Hedge Fund and Institutional Investment clients with full revenue ownership including renewals, expansions, cross-sells, and multi-stakeholder adoption. Focus on driving usage and adoption, executing structured expansion plans, leading contract renewals, and maximizing Net ARR growth through disciplined pipeline execution and high-touch client engagement.
Location: Remote only from specific US states or Washington, DC: CA, CO, CT, FL, ID, IL, LA, MA, MD, NC, NJ, NY, PA, RI, TN, TX, UT, VA, WA, WI. Ideally based in Tri-State area with frequent visits to Grand Central office in New York or regular travel to New York.
Salary: $150,000 - $180,000 base + commissions + company equity

What you will do
- Own a portfolio of strategic hedge fund and institutional accounts with full renewal and expansion quota responsibility.
- Drive usage, adoption, and multi-team penetration; map white space and execute expansion plans.
- Identify and close upsell/cross-sell opportunities via engagement with senior stakeholders.
- Lead contract renewals, pricing negotiations, and objection handling.
- Maintain pipeline, renewal, and forecast tracking in Salesforce.
- Conduct client meetings and executive updates, partnering with internal teams for onboarding and satisfaction.
- Relay client feedback to shape product, pricing, and commercial strategy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 10+ years in prospective sales exceeding targets; 3+ years in alternative data for Financial Services (must-have).
- Proficiency in full sales cycle, Salesforce, Excel; cross-functional collaboration.
- In-depth knowledge of alternative data solutions.
- Existing network in US investment community.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-driven, ethical, passionate about client needs and SaaS/data-driven decisions.
