What you will do

• Define and drive the platform engineering strategy aligned with business, technology, and security goals.
• Own and improve AWS platform patterns across accounts, environments, access models, and organizational guardrails.
• Create foundations for safe and scalable AI adoption, including reusable patterns for AI services and agent-based workflows.
• Strengthen platform standards for security, CI/CD, observability, and operational readiness.
• Improve developer experience by reducing friction through automation, templates, and enhanced tooling.
• Promote a culture of enablement and shared ownership, solving common problems once for wide reuse.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or SRE-style work.
• Deep practical expertise in AWS, including IAM, networking, and environment management.
• Experience building and improving CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Solid understanding of observability, monitoring, alerting, and secrets management.
• Experience influencing technical direction and platform strategy across multiple teams.
• Must be available for in-person interviews and work in Manchester, UK.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS Organizations, Control Tower, and SCPs.
• Knowledge of FinOps practices and reliability engineering.
• Experience enabling AI/ML tooling or LLM-based workflows.
• Familiarity with Team Topologies and enabling-team principles.
