Location: Hybrid in Leeds, Edinburgh, or Manchester (at least 2 days per week or 40% time in office)

Salary: £72,702 - £85,000 per annum

What you will do

• Design, implement, and operate scalable, secure cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform using IaC, owning end-to-end solutions.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automate operational processes, and integrate security controls and policy-as-code.
• Develop agentic automation capabilities, including agent runtimes with reasoning, planning, tool interaction, state management, and observability.
• Define platform standards, monitor performance, diagnose issues, and drive optimizations for high availability.
• Collaborate with product owners, engineers, and security teams, acting as technical authority and mentor.
• Promote Agile practices, continuous improvement, and contribute to lab-wide initiatives.

Requirements

• Experience with agentic or AI-enabled engineering, building agent-based automation that reasons, plans, and interacts with tools/cloud services
• Strong cloud and platform engineering on GCP or similar using IaC, end-to-end DevOps ownership including monitoring and optimization
• Deep CI/CD and automation experience, embedding security and compliance by design
• Hands-on production-grade platforms with observability, resilience, and incident handling
• Technical leadership, collaboration, and mentoring skills

• Exposure to enterprise-scale data or agentic products in regulated/security environments
• Shaping platform standards and developer experience across teams
