TL;DR

Maintenance Controller (Logistics): Coordinating vehicle repairers and suppliers to ensure cost-effective maintenance and a high-quality customer experience with an accent on technical knowledge of combustion and electric vehicles. Focus on managing SMR and tyre requests, conducting cost audits, and minimizing vehicle downtime.

Location: Hybrid; Must be based in Watford (at least 3 days per week or 60% of time in office)

What you will do

  • Coordinate vehicle repairers and suppliers to ensure a cost-effective repair process.
  • Manage, approve, and audit all SMR (service, maintenance, and repair) and tyre requests according to policy.
  • Act as the first point of resolution for vehicle-related topics including breakdowns and downtime management.
  • Ensure all transactions are approved at the lowest possible cost to the company.
  • Maintain high customer service standards through professional telephone negotiation and communication.

Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of repair and maintenance for combustion and electric motor vehicles (Cars & LCVs).
  • Experience working in a manufacturer's franchised dealership within both workshop and service desk environments.
  • Proven experience in a cost approval and audit function within a leasing company or similar organization.
  • Strong customer service orientation and confident telephone manner.
  • Must be able to work from the Watford office at least 60% of the time (5 days a week during the initial training period).
