Senior Structural Engineer

Salary: $125,000–$160,000 annually

What you will do

• Develop preliminary structural systems and coordinate designs with architecture, construction, development, and other disciplines.
• Design projects according to construction schedules and evolving package requirements.
• Apply construction experience to preliminary pricing and ongoing value engineering.
• Provide structural design and quality assurance for industrial, mission critical, life sciences, and residential projects.
• Support site and quality visits and help resolve field and construction issues.
• Coordinate with builder teams to improve constructability and efficiently issue design changes and revisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering; a Master’s degree with a structural emphasis is preferred.
• At least 10 years of experience designing commercial projects, ideally in industrial, mission critical, or life sciences environments.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE).
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit, plus proficiency with structural analysis software such as Tekla Structural Designer.
• Experience working in multidisciplinary project teams.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
