Structural Engineer

Location: Logan, Utah, United States; office-based role with occasional field work for construction inspections.

What you will do

• Lead the technical lifecycle of structural engineering projects, including calculations, engineering plans, design documents, and specifications.
• Direct junior engineering and design staff on design and construction tasks.
• Develop and manage project schedules, adapting them as project requirements change.
• Perform occasional construction inspections to verify compliance with industry and client standards.
• Communicate project status and updates to project managers and clients.
• Support business development by contributing to engineering service proposals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional Engineer registration in Utah, or the ability to obtain it within three months.
• Five or more years of structural engineering experience preferred.
• Experience with finite element analysis and modeling, such as RISA 3D, Dlubal RFEM 6, or similar tools.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, maintain quality and attention to detail, mentor EITs, and direct engineering work.
• Strong verbal and written communication, collaboration, client relationship management, Microsoft Office Suite experience, and preferred AutoCAD experience.
