Commissioning Agent

Location: Nashville, Tennessee, USA; on-site. Travel: 30–50%. Relocation assistance is available.

What you will do

• Perform commissioning activities focused on electrical and mechanical systems.
• Create commissioning plans, conduct design reviews, chair kickoff meetings, prepare progress reports, perform functional performance testing, and create final reports.
• Develop owner project requirements and attend coordination meetings with clients, owners, and contractors.
• Perform pre-functional tests, observe equipment start-up, make design-review calculations, and prepare technical reports.
• Manage multiple project tasks, support QA/QC for controls design projects, and supervise project close-out.
• As experience develops, contribute to business development, marketing, project management, and opportunity identification.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of commissioning or related experience with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, automatic temperature control systems, or testing, adjusting, and balancing.
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations.
• Knowledge of construction procurement and design development processes.
• Ability to balance multiple project tasks and meet project schedules.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field preferred.
• Current commissioning certification through ACG or a similar organization preferred.
