Electrical Distribution Engineer

Location: Pershing, United States; hybrid work schedule. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Salary: $894,267.80–$117,834.75 annually, commensurate with experience.

What you will do

• Design, estimate, document, and manage electric distribution projects from development through completion.
• Prepare conduit and cable layouts, electrical and civil plan reviews, specifications, cost estimates, permits, and traffic maintenance indexes.
• Estimate project materials and maintain designs, plans, and financial records in the relevant enterprise systems.
• Coordinate with customers, contractors, governmental agencies, and internal teams to resolve project conflicts.
• Inspect installed distribution infrastructure and provide final engineering approval.
• Train new engineers and develop or improve departmental software, design, and estimating tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a directly related engineering discipline from an ABET-accredited institution.
• At least four years of experience in electric distribution engineering.
• Working knowledge of electric service and metering requirements, overhead and underground construction standards, right-of-way permitting, the National Electrical Code, and the National Electrical Safety Code.
• Familiarity with electrical and technical drawings, GIS, estimating systems, AutoCAD, ArcReader, EnterpriseOne, ePETS, CC&B, and related design tools.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to drive a company vehicle.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States is required; employment visa sponsorship is not available.
