What you will do
- Provide end-to-end oversight of Post-Closing Quality Control functions.
- Oversee Branch Audit and Compliance Monitoring & Testing programs to identify risks and validate root causes.
- Manage loan file production for state/federal examinations, agency reviews, and investor audits.
- Prepare executive-level reporting that communicates findings, remediation actions, and risk mitigation.
- Design and maintain repeatable Compliance SOPs and structured workflows to reduce manual intervention.
- Manage compliance staff and set quality standards for accountability and professional communication.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 7+ years of experience in a financial institution, preferably within a large or complex organization.
- 5+ years of experience in risk management and consumer compliance specifically for mortgage originations.
- Deep knowledge of federal and state mortgage lending regulations (Dodd Frank, QM/ATR, RESPA, TILA, TRID, ECOA, HMDA, etc.).
- Proven experience independently driving complex cross-functional initiatives and preparing regulator-facing reports.
- Strong skills in systems thinking and translating regulatory requirements into practical operational controls.
Nice to have
- Experience with Encompass, JIRA, or ACES.
- Advanced knowledge of Mavent.
