Junior NOC Engineer

What you will do

• Monitor network infrastructure in real time for availability, performance, and stability.
• Identify, investigate, and troubleshoot network issues, outages, and performance degradations.
• Use network management tools to detect problems and support resolutions.
• Escalate incidents to engineering, security, or vendor teams as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance and support approved network changes with proper documentation.
• Communicate with stakeholders and collaborate on network improvements and risk mitigation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Training or experience in network operations, monitoring, and troubleshooting
• Fundamental knowledge of network tools like Cisco, Juniper, SolarWinds
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and document incidents accurately
• Interim DoD Secret or comparable clearance required

Nice to have

• CCNA, CCNP, or other network certifications
• Familiarity with ITIL practices
• Prior NOC or operational environment experience
