TL;DR

Senior Loan Processor (Mortgage): Perform thorough review and analysis of borrower’s credit, employment, income, and assets before submitting to underwriting with an accent on compliance with mortgage regulations and accurate documentation assembly. Focus on communicating with loan originators and customers, managing pipeline reports, and verifying third-party services like title and flood certifications.

Location: Supports Sharp Team's Chicago, IL office, operates within Eastern and Central working hours for Midwest Region

Hourly Rate: $26.00 - $31.00, eligible for per file bonus

What you will do

  • Review and analyze borrower credit, employment, income, and assets for loan programs.
  • Assemble complete loan packages, complete checklists, and prepare approval summaries and forms.
  • Communicate with loan originators, customers, and underwriters to obtain documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with RESPA, TIL, HMDA, Reg. B, and prepare disclosures.
  • Order and verify third-party services like property surveys, flood certificates, and title commitments.
  • Manage pipeline, document communications, train new processors, and assist closing and servicing.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years residential mortgage processing experience.
  • Working knowledge of RESPA and mortgage lending regulations preferred.
  • Excellent math, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and work varying hours including overtime.
  • Encompass experience.
