Plumbing Engineering Manager

Location: Remote or onsite at offices in Phoenix, Kansas City, Nashville, Lenexa, Denver, Philadelphia, or Plano, United States.

Salary: $132,000–$198,000 per year, depending on geographic labor-market factors.

What you will do

• Lead, manage, mentor, and develop a team of plumbing-aligned engineers and designers.
• Manage staffing, project resources, budgets, schedules, quality reviews, and design delivery.
• Lead projects from concept design through completion and coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Oversee design documents, layouts, drawings, schematics, specifications, calculations, and shop-drawing reviews.
• Research systems and equipment, recommend products, and resolve complex engineering and construction challenges.
• Visit job sites, verify existing conditions, monitor construction progress, and support Engineer of Record responsibilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field is preferred; a high school diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 12 years of relevant progressive experience.
• Expert knowledge of engineering design, A&E practices, applicable codes, standards, and design guides.
• Working knowledge of Revit, Bluebeam Revu, construction processes, contracts, and earned value.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, communication, critical-thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; employment eligibility will be verified.

Nice to have

• Professional Engineering license.
• Engineer of Record experience.
• Relevant certifications such as BEMP, CPD, CDP, NICET, or RCDD.
