Senior Acoustics Consultant

Location: Remote within the United States; preference for candidates in Southern California, Chicago, Dallas, or Atlanta. Travel up to 10%.

Salary: $100,000–$125,000 USD per year, plus performance-based bonuses.

What you will do

• Design acoustics solutions and perform measurements for the built environment.
• Focus on environmental acoustics involving mechanical and power-generation equipment in urban and suburban settings.
• Prepare acoustics reports, schedules, and specifications.
• Review drawings and perform calculations related to sound isolation, noise control, and room acoustics.
• Conduct field measurements and on-site construction observations.
• Serve as Project Manager or Lead Acoustics Consultant while supporting and mentoring other acoustics professionals.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in acoustics design and measurements for the built environment.
• Experience in environmental and architectural acoustics, field measurement, and construction observation.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or another STEM field.
• Computer modelling experience with SoundPlan.
• Ability to prepare technical reports, review drawings, perform acoustics calculations, and develop schedules and specifications.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.
