TL;DR
Analytics Engineer (dbt/Databricks): Building and optimizing production-grade data models and transformation pipelines in a Databricks Lakehouse to support revenue cycle management automation and intelligent prioritization with an accent on dbt, Spark, Delta Lake, and advanced SQL. Focus on designing scalable analytics engineering standards, troubleshooting data issues across platform layers, and enabling account scoring, denial analysis, aging analytics, and workflow automation.

Location: Remote within the United States; travel to and work onsite at client, temporary, or corporate office locations may be required as business needs require. Applicants must reside in and be authorized to work within the United States.

Salary: $101,600–$175,200, based on experience.

What you will do

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, monitor, and improve data models and transformation pipelines using dbt in a Databricks Lakehouse.
  • Build reusable models, macros, testing frameworks, and automation logic for AR Follow-Up workflows.
  • Translate operational and product requirements into technical designs and incremental data deliverables.
  • Define analytics engineering standards, modeling conventions, naming patterns, testing practices, and governance approaches.
  • Optimize Delta Lake tables and Spark workloads for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
  • Develop structured datasets supporting account prioritization, denial analysis, aging analysis, performance tracking, and workflow automation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or advanced BI building production-grade data solutions.
  • Strong hands-on experience with dbt or a similar framework in a modern ELT environment.
  • Experience with Databricks, Spark, Delta Lake, or similar distributed data platforms, plus advanced SQL expertise.
  • Knowledge of automated testing, CI/CD, modular design, observability, governance, data architecture, and scalable cloud-based modeling.
  • Must reside in and be authorized to work within the United States.

Nice to have

  • Healthcare revenue cycle management data experience, including claims, remittances, denials, payments, or AR aging.
  • Experience with AR Follow-Up workflows, operational work queues, denial management, or workflow automation.
  • Exposure to ML feature engineering, model enablement, or AI-driven insights in Databricks.
  • Experience in regulated industries with strong data governance and compliance controls.
