Senior Data Engineer (AI/ML)

Location: Hybrid in Dallas, Texas. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States.

What you will do

• Design, build, and optimize data pipelines, ingestion frameworks, and platform components for analytics, reporting, and AI/ML use cases.
• Own complex engineering initiatives from technical design through implementation and rollout.
• Identify and resolve performance, scalability, reliability, and production issues across the data platform.
• Improve data models, governance, access patterns, feature stores, curated datasets, and streaming access for AI/ML readiness.
• Review code and designs, establish engineering standards, and mentor other data engineers.
• Partner with data, product, and engineering stakeholders on platform architecture, tooling, and roadmap decisions.

Requirements

• U.S. work authorization for any employer is required; visa sponsorship is not available.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of data engineering experience with large-scale, mature data platforms.
• Deep experience in data pipeline design, distributed processing, performance optimization, and cloud data platforms.
• Strong working proficiency in at least two of Python, Scala, and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake or Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics or Microsoft Fabric, infrastructure as code, and CI/CD.

Nice to have

• Experience designing or implementing agentic workflows for data engineering.
• Experience with Property & Casualty insurance carriers.
• Experience with Data Vault 2.0 or Ensemble data modeling.
