AI Data Engineer

Location: Must be based in the United States (excluding Hawaii)

Salary: $152,000 – $186,000

What you will do

• Partner with analytics, marketing, and product teams to identify data needs for AI applications.
• Build and maintain scalable data systems and infrastructure that allow secure access to trusted data.
• Define standards, governance, and access control practices for sensitive internal data.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs and deliver solutions from deployment to production.
• Ensure data reliability and security while enabling AI-driven decision-making across the organization.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United States (excluding Hawaii).
• 4+ years of experience in data or software engineering with ownership of production data pipelines.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience designing scalable data models, platforms, and pipelines.
• Proven ability to drive projects independently from design through production deployment.
• Experience implementing data security, governance, or access control for sensitive information.

Nice to have

• Experience with LLMs, semantic layers, or model context protocols (MCPs).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like Snowflake, AWS, Spark, Kafka, or Iceberg.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.
• Background working in HIPAA-regulated environments.
