TL;DR
HR Generalist: Act as the initial point of contact for employees on HR-related questions, maintain accurate records of employee data and policies, support onboarding and offboarding processes, and ensure compliance with employment laws. With an accent on prioritizing and resolving Tier 1-2 employee support tickets, processing HRIS transactions in Workday, and coordinating with cross-functional partners. Focus on auditing HRIS data for accuracy, maintaining employee knowledge base, and handling ad-hoc projects.
Location: Mountain View, California (hybrid, in office at least 3 days per week)
Salary: $92,000 - $133,500 per year

What you will do
- Effectively prioritize, triage, and resolve Tier 1-2 employee support tickets via Workday Help
- Coordinate with cross-functional partners like IT, Workplace, Payroll, and People to resolve employee issues
- Process hires, terminations, data changes, and organizational changes in HRIS (Workday)
- Maintain and update employee knowledge base articles for people topics
- Support onboarding (I-9 verification, orientation sessions) and offboarding (separation paperwork)
- Audit HRIS data for accuracy, integrity, and compliance; handle mandatory reporting like EEO-1, ACA, HCSO
- Participate in ad-hoc projects as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
- Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Handle highly confidential data with sensitivity, professionalism, and integrity
- Strong people skills to connect and support employees at all levels

- Deep understanding of HRIS, preferably Workday
