What you will do

• Contribute to complex engagements by developing specifications, designs, budgets, timelines, and managing client expectations.
• Conceptualize system designs, determine requirements, and provide guidance on security systems coordination.
• Oversee Bill of Materials (BOM) development and support documentation, interpret construction drawings during reviews.
• Conduct review calls, use pricing tools, build labor calculations, and produce product submittals.
• Research and recommend technology options, interact with clients, and contribute to P&L performance.
• Maintain industry expertise through publications, trade shows, training, and represent ESS Engineering in strategic initiatives.

Requirements

• US-based for potential Top Secret Clearance
• Associates Degree or equivalent; High school diploma or GED required
• 5+ years experience in system design
• Detail-oriented, self-starter with exceptional time management, communication, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, MS Office 365
• Understanding of project phases, construction process, installation, integration, and drawings

Nice to have

• 5+ years in technical systems designing; Bachelor’s degree
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, BIM, MS Office 365
• Certifications/training in Milestone, Lenel, Genetec, Avigilon, S2
