TL;DR

AV Field Engineer 3 (Crestron/AMX/Extron): Design, integrate, test, and troubleshoot network telecommunications and AV systems including control programming and configuration with an accent on IP networks, ISDN, and videoconferencing standards. On-site in Tysons, VA. Active Secret clearance required. Ability to travel internationally up to 25%.

What you will do

• Conduct customer site surveys, collect requirements, develop project scopes, and provide system costing for AV projects.
• Design, integrate, test, and troubleshoot IP networks, ISDN, and AV systems.
• Develop complex AV control system programming for AMX, Crestron, and Extron.
• Read plans and specifications to select materials and ensure compliance.
• Conduct on-site user and administrative training for integrated AV systems.

Requirements

• Active Secret security clearance.
• Bachelor's Degree in engineering or related discipline with 5+ years of progressive experience.
• Experience with IT/telecommunications projects, AV integration, installation, programming, and troubleshooting.
• Demonstrated experience with Crestron, AMX, Extron, Jupiter, Tandberg, Polycom, Lutron hardware/software.
• Strong knowledge of videoconferencing standards, blueprints interpretation, and cost estimation.
• Visio skills; proficiency in working independently and in teams, time management.

Nice to have

• Certified Crestron and AMX Programmer.
• AutoCAD skills.
