What you will do

• Develop specifications, designs, budgets, timelines, and manage expectations for complex client engagements.
• Conceptualize system designs, determine requirements, and provide guidance on security systems coordination.
• Oversee Bill of Materials (BOM), support documentation, and interpret construction drawings during reviews.
• Conduct review calls, use pricing tools, build labor calculations, and produce product submittals.
• Research technology options, interact with clients, contribute to P&L, and maintain long-lasting partnerships.
• Stay updated on industry trends through publications, trade shows, training, and represent ESS Engineering in initiatives.

Requirements

• US-based for potential Top Secret Clearance
• Associates Degree or equivalent; High school diploma or GED required
• 5+ years experience in system design
• Detail-oriented self-starter with exceptional time management, communication, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, and/or MS Office 365
• Understanding of project phases, construction process, IFPs, RFPs, RFQs

Nice to have

• 5+ years in technical systems designing
• Bachelor’s degree
• Certifications/training in Milestone, Lenel, Genetec, Avigilon, S2
