TL;DR

Senior Account Executive (Software): Driving net-new growth within municipal utility territories by identifying and converting opportunities through complex, RFP-driven sales cycles. Location: Remote (Must be based in Canada or the United States)

Salary: 110K + Commission (OTE up to 220K)

What you will do

  • Identify and pursue net-new municipal utility opportunities within a defined territory.
  • Lead full sales cycles from initial engagement through RFP, evaluation, and contract execution.
  • Build and maintain a qualified pipeline and provide accurate bookings forecasts.
  • Partner with Technical Sales Engineers to deliver tailored demonstrations and technical validation.
  • Maintain accurate and timely CRM (Salesforce) updates to ensure forecast visibility.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in enterprise software sales with a focus on net-new business development.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex, full-cycle sales processes and multi-stakeholder committees.
  • Must hold a current, valid passport and be legally eligible for international travel to Canada, the US, and the Caribbean.
  • Must be based in Canada or the United States.
  • Experience using CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

Nice to have

  • Experience selling to municipal utilities, public sector, or regulated industries.
  • Familiarity with CIS, billing, AMI, or customer service platforms.
  • Experience in RFP-driven sales environments and complex configurable enterprise software.
