What you will do

• Own the architecture and roadmap for core security services including authN/Z, policy enforcement, and key management.
• Design and implement planet-scale security systems across hardware, operating systems, Kubernetes, and networks.
• Lead cross-functional launches with infrastructure and research engineering teams, shaping interfaces and migration plans.
• Build and evolve security primitives such as identity, attestation, and encryption key lifecycles.
• Develop automation and detection tooling by leveraging frontier AI models and agents.
• Mentor engineers and lead design reviews to improve engineering quality and secure-by-default practices.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering skills with a track record of shipping reliable distributed systems in production.
• Experience building security infrastructure at planet scale (e.g., auth services, service-to-service proxies).
• Deep understanding of security principles, best practices, and common vulnerabilities.
• Expertise in securing large-scale cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, and GCP.
• Must be based in the United States.
• Excellent communication skills for conveying complex concepts to technical and executive stakeholders.
