TL;DR

Sr Principal Analog Mixed Signal Design Engineer (Semiconductor): Designing high-speed and optical transceivers for communication infrastructure with an accent on architectural investigations and implementation of mixed-signal circuits such as PLLs, ADCs, and CDRs. Focus on optimizing bandwidth and power for cloud computing and mega data centers while managing the delivery of analog IP from concept to production.

Location: Onsite in San Diego, CA. Must be eligible to access export-controlled information under U.S. law.

Salary: $202,900 – $300,260 per annum

What you will do

  • Perform architectural investigations and implementation for circuits including PLL, DLL, ADC, regulators, amplifiers, TX, RX, and CDRs.
  • Conduct design verification using industry-standard tools such as SPICE, Spectre, and MATLAB.
  • Collaborate with layout, verification, and application teams to manage analog IP delivery.
  • Bring analog designs from initial concept through to full-scale production.
  • Evaluate prototype units through lab testing to ensure adherence to design specifications.

Requirements

  • MS in Electrical Engineering with 12+ years of related experience or PhD with 10+ years of related experience.
  • Hands-on experience designing mixed-signal circuits (ADCs, DACs, RX, TX, PLLs, etc.).
  • Strong expertise in deep sub-micron CMOS technologies and low-power/high-speed design techniques.
  • Proficiency with IC design CAD tools (Spectre, Spice, Matlab, Hsim, Verilog).
  • Must be eligible to access export-controlled information (U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, or protected individuals).
