Sr Staff Analog Mixed-Signal Design Engineer (Optical PHY): Designing high-speed optical transceivers and mixed-signal circuits such as PLL, DLL, ADC, regulators, amplifiers, TX, RX, CDRs for communication infrastructure in data centers with an accent on performance targets for bandwidth, capacity, and power efficiency. Focus on architectural investigations, circuit implementation, design verification using SPICE, Spectre, MATLAB, and managing IP delivery from concept to production.

Salary: $149,500 - $221,220 per annum

What you will do

• Conduct architectural investigations and implement mixed-signal circuits including PLL, DLL, ADC, regulators, amplifiers, TX, RX, CDRs.
• Perform design verification using SPICE, Spectre, MATLAB and other tools.
• Interface with layout, verification, and application teams.
• Manage delivery of analog IP from concept to production.
• Address bandwidth, capacity, and power challenges for cloud computing and mega data centers.

Requirements

• Must be eligible to access US export-controlled technology; US citizens, permanent residents, or protected individuals preferred; others subject to export license review.
• Hands-on experience designing mixed-signal circuits: ADCs, DACs, RX, TX, PLLs, filters, bandgap bias, regulators.
• Strong knowledge of deep sub-micron CMOS technologies, low power and high-speed design techniques.
• Proficiency in IC design CAD tools: Spectre, SPICE, MATLAB, Hsim, Verilog.
• Lab testing skills for prototype evaluation.
• MS in Electrical Engineering with 5-10+ years experience or PhD with 3-5+ years.
