Principal IC Design Engineer (DRAM)

Location: Broomfield, Colorado, USA; legal authorization to work in the US is required.

Annual base salary: USD 129,400–207,000, plus discretionary annual bonus and equity awards.

What you will do

• Participate in defining overall SOC architecture and integrate IP into high-volume, high-performance SOCs.
• Perform detailed design analysis using leading-edge tools to ensure design quality.
• Lead extended teams supporting simulation, synthesis, formal verification, constraint definition, and design validation.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to support customer success.
• Consult with layout engineers to optimize area and performance.
• Define DRAM system timing budgets and prepare design specifications and other IP-release collateral.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably EE, CE, or CS, with 12+ years of related experience, or a Master's degree in Engineering with 10+ years of related experience.
• Strong experience designing high-performance DRAM interfaces and understanding how memory interfaces fit into SOC architecture.
• Expertise in Verilog, VHDL, and SystemVerilog.
• Strong understanding of physical implementation, timing closure under process variation, and signal integrity.
• Ability to analyze complex trade-offs, make data-driven decisions, and collaborate cross-functionally.
• Must have legal authorization to work in the US; company-sponsored immigration support is not available.
